Dutch Summer Week
In 2020, the Dutch Club organizes three Dutch Summer Weeks from 06 – 10 July , 10 – 14 August and from 17 – 21 August. These weeks focus specifically on the Dutch language and culture. During the week we offer a variety of fun, educational and cultural activities. Children will get a better grasp of the Dutch language and they also get an opportunity to meet other children with similar experiences.
These Summer Weeks are intended for international children (between 6 and 12 years old) who live in the Netherlands and speak Dutch, children whose second language is Dutch and for Dutch children who live abroad. During the week Dutch is the only language we speak, so the children will feel more comfortable with speaking and listening to Dutch. Daily activities will be arranged around the theme of the day. Different aspects of the language (reading, writing, vocabulary, et cetera) will also be part of the program. Most important is for the children to learn by experience: their Dutch skills will improve by being active and having fun.
Professional, positive and personal attention is really important during the Summer Week: we have 1 teacher per 4 children.
